Red River Dialect are a band from Falmouth and Penryn, who play guitars, fiddles, harmonicas, bass', cello's and drums. They've been compared to Bill Callahan, Calexico and Dirty Three, but of late they've been known to turn up the swamp-rock dials and let loose a little.
This show is the band's last for some time, and the last show Lono will be putting on in Falmouth and Penryn. Yes, we've been milking that "last gig" thing for a while haven't we? Every scent of the £3 entry goes towards paying back the debt hole they just dug themselves by recording a new album. They laid down 10 tracks in 2 days, with two esteemable gents from London town at the controls - good vibes and solid grooves. Anyone who wants to make a further donation towards that can buy a Red River bumbag, a slice of crumble, Jack's shoes, or anything else they find on the merch table.
